My name is Lenka Blažková
I am an expert in handmade jewellery by electroforming and also by pewtering (soft soldering of pewter).
I have been making jewellery since 2010.
I transform nature into permanent jewellery.
I have written a professional book on pewter jewellery making, which is unique on the market.
I know every detail of my jewellery intimately, because they are all created in my head and exclusively by my hands.
I combine my jewellery with coral, pearls, gemstones, fossils, exotic woods and glass.
You could see me on the show Home Alone, read an interview on iDnes or hear me on Radio Blaník.
I will allow you to experience the joy of making your own pewter jewellery at an experiential course at my studio in Prague.
You will take away a piece of jewellery made with your own hands that you will be really proud of.
With my book All About Pewter Jewellery, you will create a micro-sculptural pewter masterpiece that any (even less skilled) hands can make.
I will forge a natural object you bring in that has personal meaning to you. For example, a reminder of an important place, a memory of a loved one, or an event. An unworn keepsake in the form of a piece of jewellery can make a beautiful engagement gift, wedding or holiday memory. Likewise, it can remind people living abroad of home.
With my jewellery you get:
a feeling of uniqueness, because you will adorn yourself with jewelry that is unique and that no one else has
the excitement of wearing jewellery by an artist who has created for some Czech celebrities
memories, because the jewellery has an extra emotional dimension if the natural object you turn into a lasting ornament comes from a place to which you have an emotional connection
the feeling of joy that the jewellery will give to yourself or to the person you are giving the jewellery to
the pleasure of others noticing that you have a piece of jewellery from the LENKA BLAZA art brand, because my jewellery is memorable, original and has a unique signature
I have participated in 17 solo and group exhibitions. I ranked in the TOP 10 – Entrepreneurial Woman of the Year 2017, which is announced by the Association of Small and Medium Enterprises and Tradesmen of the Czech Republic on the occasion of the Entrepreneurs’ Day. My jewellery is worn by women all over the world.
Although I was tempted to go to art school, I graduated from secondary school of economics and later from the Faculty of Education. I worked as a teacher. Later as an assistant in various companies. Obviously, I had to go through other disciplines to realise what I really wanted to do. I am currently making jewellery and artefacts.
I create originals that bear my signature. I have devised original manufacturing processes that are characteristic of my work.
I perceive jewellery as a personal matter and a way to express one’s mood, individuality and personality. You can see my works in galleries, at design events, in solo and group exhibitions.
Jewellery was perhaps historically the first man-made object that was not necessary for survival. It’s fascinating.

Opinion of the exhibition curator
The artist's work exudes her own vision of the world and inspiration from surrealism. The jewellery is imaginative, emotional, full of her personal fantasy. The author is primarily inspired by precious stones, which appeal to her in their original, unprocessed and even raw form. This is how the author communicates with them and thanks to this intimate dialogue, each jewel comes directly from the stone. The stone itself "determines" the final design. In conjunction with metal, the jewellery looks bold, timeless and characterised by an industrial, sometimes even technical style, while maintaining clear natural motives and lines. They are not afraid to combine materials to create interesting contrasts. She works with a unique technique called soft soldering of metals, using precious stones, pearls and fossils. She modifies metals by beating, patination, polishing, or combining them with silver.
